  • Dell XPS upgrade F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

I purchased the following G Skill memory without much research and every time I install this memory pair the system becomes unstable and crashes to blue screen. Runs fine with factory Hynix 1 gb pair. Have no idea what motherboard Dell uses but the manual said it is capable of 8gb max. Been reading posts about Bios config but Dell bois does not have adjustable voltage settings that I could find. Will this memory work in my system?

    Bios A07 (most recent)

Should not have a problem. Test each one by itself to see if one is defective causing the problem.

    Thank you

I belive you are correct. After a number of swaps I was able to isolate one stick that would not work with the rest.
      Thanks for the help!
      Now what....?

Send them in for new replacements.

If you are within 30 days of purchase date, the vendor should exchange it.

Or, we can take care of it as well.
