  • Help with Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P and G.Skill 1066

    Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
    Processor- AMD Phenom II X4 945 95W Not O'C
    Memory-G.Skill Model F2-8500CL5D 4GBPK
    Bios version- F5

I followed the sticky and set my bios settings exactly the same. I crashed
while gaming so I set the row cycle time to 42. When I play apps on
facebook or MMORPG's I get blue screens all with different errors. I read
all the threads and suggestions on the forum pertaining to my situation.
It has been said that my memory will and won't run on my motherboard
so, I'm posting before I go through all the trouble of changing my settings
over and over and possibly flashing my bios.
My pc has been stable at 800 for almost a year now so I changed the bios
instead of flashing. I finally decide to try to change the settings to use 1066.
I am wanting to know if it's been decide whether or not this will work and
if I should flash the bios.
    Thanks

You will definitely want to flash the BIOS. It should be able to run at DDR2-1066, but the CPU-NB Voltage may need a slight boost (+0.1V).

    Thank you

      Thanks for the reply.
My northbridge voltage control is already set to 0.1v.
I'll look into flashing my bios.
