  • F2-9600CL5D-4GBTD 2 kits (8 gig) what is max OC?

    Hi,

I am interested in buying two kits of F2-9600CL5D-4GBTD for a total of 8 gig. However, I am unsure of what to expect in reaching 1200MHz. Can people tell me is it close or is 1066 kind of the max?

What is the difference between F2-9600CL5D-4GBPI vs F2-9600CL5D-4GBTD? I see the voltage is but does that make a difference in what I am trying to do or is it just a power consumption issue?
    Thanks

It all depends on your motherboard and CPU. P45 platforms generally have no problem with 8GB DDR2-1200.

The PI requires more voltage than the TD because it doesn't use as good chips. The TD is the best DDR2-1200, and because of the low voltage, it places less stress on the memory controller. So if you want 8GB at DDR2-1200, the Trident is your best bet.

    Thank you
