installing different sticks

i have a p5k se mother board with 4 dimm slots and able to take 8gb ram i purchaced f2-6400cl5d 4gbpq this replaced 2 f2 5400phu1 1gb can i use the 2 1gb sticks with the 2gb sticks to give me 6gb cheers

Possibly, you will need to lower memory frequency to DDR2-667 and use the timings of the 5400.
