  • F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK and EVGA 780i SLI Bios Settings

Hello, I have been reading the forums but I am still having trouble getting a stable system at 1066 speed.. Here are my specs, please let me know if there are any other settings I should make.

EVGA 780i SLI Mobo ( I have the latest P09 BIOS)
Intel Q9650 Quad Core 3.0MHZ CPU
In the BIOS: CPU Multiplier is 9x, FSB is set at Qdr 1600 (400mhz) to get my CPU clock speed to 3.6Mhz..

I set the Ram in the bios as UNLINKED to 1066 with a voltage of 2.1V. Timings are 5-5-5-15 and Auto(2T)
I have the two sticks in slot 2 and 4

    1. Are there any other ram timings I should adjust?
    2. There is a section in the BIOS for turning on SLI READY MEMORY - what setting should this be on, if any?
    3. The memory runs perfectly with no BSOD's at 800MHZ 4-4-4-12 timings

Sounds like you covered most of the settings. SLI READY MEMORY can be default. What type of issues are you getting at DDR2-1066? Did you try raising NB Voltage 1.20V and FSB Voltage 1.30V?

    Thank you

Thanks for the reply.. I actually have my FSB raised to 1.4V because i was getting BSOD's @ 1.3v.. I dont see the setting in my BIOS for NB voltage.. anyway im getting constant BSODS after windows vista has booted .. I last in windows for approx 5 mins before the BSOD
