    Hello,

Can somebody point me to the right DDR2 memory for ASUS P5E motherboard? 1066 Mhz would be nice.

    Thank you.

I had this exact kit running on an ASUS P5E just fine. It was a older batch obviously, but it should still be a safe bet and a good choice.

It might be too late to reply on this post but I have P5Q-E with E-8400 I was thinking of the same sugested memoty but not sure will it work on 4X2gb. In qvl it says that it suports 1gb sticks but it doesnt say much about the F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

            update

Received the set but unfortunately cpu-z says that atm they are running at 400MHz with original timings 5-5-5-15 @2.0v. Does somebody know the best bios set up for this bundle.

Input the basic values for the RAM.

              DRAM Frequency DDR2-1066
              DRAM Timings tCL 5 - tRCD 5 - tRP 5 - tRAS 15
              DRAM Voltage 2.10V

Once that is complete, the computer should run at full speed.

              Let us know the result.

              Thank you

                Hello,

                Thanks for all the answers.

I have tried the settings above but I get an "overclocking failed" message right on start-up. Any suggestions on what to try next?

                Thank you!

Please post more details. Such as your bios settings. I am not custom with ASUS settings. But I bet your settings are wrong. Either CPU voltage, Ram Voltage/Timings.

                    DRAM Frequency DDR2-800
                    DRAM Timings tCL 4 - tRCD 4 - tRP 4 - tRAS 12
                    DRAM Voltage 2.00V

                    Thank you

Nevermind, I got it working with the original settings.

                      DRAM Frequency DDR2-1066
                      DRAM Timings tCL 5 - tRCD 5 - tRP 5 - tRAS 15
                      DRAM Voltage 2.10V

At first I didn't installed the modules in dual channel, maybe that was the problem.

                      Thank you!
