Hi guys,
I recently upgraded my P5K based machine. It had a pair of 2x2GB F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK running great for years and I decided to give the computer a final upgrade of a similar pair, to get to a final 8 GB of memory. I was really fortunate I could still get the same type of memory, with same latency settings, so I wasn't expecting any differences.
When it came to installing the memory, I noticed the new pair has a 2.0-2.1 V indication, where as the installed memory has a 1.7-2.0 V indication.
I've set my memory supply voltage to 2.0 V, and it's running fine (passed Memtest for a solid 3 hours too).
I'm just slightly worried I might be operating the 'older' pair at a too high a voltage and that this may be damaging. Thoughts?
Cheers for any feedback
Rene
