I purchased some G.Skill RAM (model #F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR) when it was on sale at Newegg for ~$480 CAD since it was on my motherboard's (ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme) QVL. But just a few days ago I noticed that for that motherboard, in your RAM configurator, that RAM model # is not actually supported - that instead I should have gotten model #F4-3200C14Q-32GTZRX. Is this a big problem? Should I be going with your Configurator, or the motherboard's QVL here? Can I reasonably expect the RAM I ordered to run at the rated speeds?
I can return the RAM I ordered unopened, but I would then have to special order the other model for ~$725 CAD - a significantly larger expense - as the other RAM is not widely available in Canada.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Edited to add that the model #F4-3200C14Q-32GTZRX does not appear on my motherboards QVL, even though F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR does.
