  • New RAM won't POST, Old RAM is fine, both G.Skills Ripjaws DDR3

I am converting my desktop into a gaming computer for the kids and bought a new video card and RAM and it won't POST with the new RAM. Current specs:
    MB: Gigabyte ga-970a-d3p
    CPU: AMD FX8300
    PSU: EVGA 500w
Video: Asus Phoenix GEForce GTX-1650 OC 4GB
    Current RAM: G.Skills Ripjaws DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) 1607
    New RAM: G.Skills Ripjaws X DDR3 32GB (4x8GB) 1866
BIOS is up to date, OS Windows 10

Everything runs fine as it is now, but when I shut it down and load the new RAM, it won't POST, no beep, fans spin. I have tried moving the RAM around, only putting in 2 sticks vs 4, nothing. I reset the CMOS, nothing. is it bad memory? Something I need to do to the BIOS before putting the new RAM in? I don't think I've tried every possible position of all 4 sticks, but will if that is the recommendation. I'm not an expert computer builder, but know enough to get around and be dangerous. Thanks.

Do you have the latest BIOS? Have you tried one module at a time? Where did you purchase the memory kit? Who is the seller? That is a counterfeited memory model so if it is not from an authorized G.Skill vendor there is unfortunately a high chance that is the case..
