  • G. SkillF4-3600C 16D-32GVKC- memory speed?

    Hi
I have just setup my new PC Build with motherboard ASUS ROG x570-F Gaming with a Ryzen i9-3900x.
On the Internet I saw that someone recommended G. SkillF4-3600C 16D-32GVKC.
I have installed two 16Gb dimms in slots A2 and B2 on the motherboard ASUS ROG x570-F
I am not quite sure that my memory runs 3600 MHz, see below:

    1. In windows task manager my memory speed is shown at 3600 MhZ. = OK

    2. In Asus AI Suite 3, I have checked the RAM speed under "System Information" .. SPD, and here my memory information says max bandwith 2133 MHz = ???

    3. Under Asus CPUID ROG CPU-Z ( another Asus program) it says NB frequency 1799,6 MHz.
I have read that as the memory is dual channel this means that the Asus CPUID ROG CPU-Z program tells me that the RAM speed is 2 x 1799 = 3600 MHz?

Can someone help, is my memory running 3600 HTz, and maybe just the Asus AI Suite 3 program has errors?

Another question is it worth the hassle working with optimizing RAM like in this video

    1) Max Bandwidth usually defaults to the fastest available standard profile of the modules. This is the SPD speed that is stated in the specifications on the product pages. The XMP for DDR4-3600 does not get considered for that, even though it is available and probably listed if you scroll right.

    2) 1800MHz is correct for a 1:1 configuration at DDR4-3600.

What is going on with the timings in CPU-Z, though? These should be 16-19-19-39 with the XMP enabled.

      Hi Emissary42
      Thanks for the answer.
I guess with the setting in 2) with 1800 Mhz it was kind of Ok..?
Anyways I tried to fiddle around with the settings in the bios according to this

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOqhyVNPhaM

Im not sure what happend, but my computer after this was not able to boot ...
Thereafter I dismounted and took out the motherboard battery and finally was able to boot again :-)
Im not going to fiddle with this again ..

I enclose a new picture of my Asus Rog CPU-Z display. I am however not sure if its better or worse compared to before... ?
Should I try to see if ASUS has some tips or is this RAM related?
