I am requesting that G.Skill get in contact with the relevant people to update the Taiphoon application for accurate SPD reading.

There is no doubt these chips are Samsung B-Die even though Taiphoon reports D-Die with a part number of: K4A8G085WD-BCPB

Especially with more people building PC's and stuff, it seems more than appropriate to ensure that when newer people following tutorials for Ryzen DRAM Calculator, that they don't incorrectly choose D-Die over B-Die in the config because Taiphoon gave them wrong data

This is a software issue more so than a G.SKILL or memory problem. I recommend rechecking them with an older version.

In general for kits like that, there really isn't any need to even use TB to begin with, since they are well known to be Samsung 8Gbit B-Die. There are tons of ressources available all around the web that prove this. In addition to that Samsung 8Gbit D-Die won't be able to reach those specifications at all.
