  • Memory for Celeron 1037U build?

I need a pair of memory modules for a new build. ECS NM70-I2 (V1.0) miniITX motherboard, with an embedded Celeron 1037U CPU and NM70 chipset. Some CPU specs:

    Code:
      Model : Intel Celeron 1037U
      Architecture : Ivy Bridge
      Clock Rate : 1.8 GHz
      Cores/Threads : 2/2
      Level 1 Cache : 128 kB
      Level 2 Cache : 512 kB
      Level 3 Cache : 2048 kB (2 MB)
      TDP : 17 Watt
      Mfr Tech : 22 nm
      Max Memory : 32 GB
      Memory Type : DDR3/L/-RS 1333/1600
      Max Temp : 105°
      Socket : FCBGA1023
      Launched : Q1 2013
ECS' web site shows various Ripjaws, Sniper and ECO modules recommended. Any reason to avoid Ares or another G.SKILL series? And is there one series in particular that might work best?

No, they should all be compatible. The maximum frequency depends on the CPUs capabilities. I'd say go with a low latency DDR3-1600 for maximum performance
