Incompatibly issue with F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO

Good morning,

I have bought two kits "F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO", present in the "Qualify Vendor List" (http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList...67a-ud4-b3.pdf) of my mainboard, and i have some incompatibility issue.
In the detail I'm not able to use the Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) when I insert the two kit togheter, and if I try to use it, the system will not boot.
This appens only if the two kit are installed togheter, and if i use one of them individually there are no problems.

This issue occurred with the following configuration, that run Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit SP1:

GIGABYTE P67A-UD4-B3 (Bios version F2 and F3d, F3, F4, F5b);
Intel Core i5 2500K (At default clock)
G.SKILL F3-12800CL7D-8GBECO (Two twins kits for a total 4*2GB)
ASUS GeForce GTX 570 DC II
WD Caviar Black WD1002FAEX
Corsair AX750
Noctua NH-D14
Logitech G110
Logitech G500
Logitech Driving Force EX


I tried to increase the voltage of the times, even though I chose this kit for the low voltages and timings, to stabilize them, with no success.

I wanna konw if the G.Skill RMA's service is able to replace my two incompatibles kits with someone else that working properly with the similar properties.

Yes, contact the RMA dept. to request RipJaws X. The ECO series is better for P55 motherboards.

It's good to hear this, but unfortunately doesn't exist a kit with low voltage and timings into RipJaws-X series. Wich I can to chose replace my ECO series kits? Any suggestions?

They needs 1.6 V 0.25 more than ECO, and this is also out of specs of memory controller of Sandy Bridge's CPU, isnt it?

Any possibility to get the Ripjaws-X F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL with major frequences to compensate the voltage differences?

The 2133 set you mention is rated at 1.5 which is fine for Sandy Bridge, and if you are thinking running it at different frequencies, yes that's not a problem, if thinking 1600 can prob run them at 1.35 or so

1.60V is perfectly fine for SandyBridge CPU. All RipJaws X are designed for the Sandybridge platform.

Yes, we can exchange your two kits for the RipJaws X kit. Contact the RMA dept. with your RMA request form and tell them that's what you want.

Good Morning,

Asking for the substitution with RMA requesting form, Gskill RMA, contrariwise what said on this forum, said tath they aren't able to replace the kit and suggest me some other test to stabilize the system. Now after increased DRAM Voltage, and timing, and decreased the frequency, i'm not able to boot the system. Gskill RMA service suggest me to increase also the Vcore voltage, but i'm think that i've made enough test and i'm scared to burn the PC, but i'm also bored to see random BSOD, random crash, and now random boot of the system. Why so different attitude between the forum and RMA service? What i have to do?

Did you contact USA or HQ? They just want to make sure you have troubleshooted correctly. Let them know you already try with forum people.

I've write in the RMA form tath I've already talk with forum people and i've attached the link to this topic.
I'm sure that they want make sure about the origin of instability of my system, but they said clearly tath they can't replace my kit with any other models. I've contact "Gskill International" at RMA@Gskill.com, becouse i'm from Italy, I should contact some one else?

Sorry, I didn't know you were in Italy, so in that case you will need to use the ECO with slightly higher voltage and it should be fine.
