    F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
    GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4
    Phenod Deneb 3.4
    Latest F9 Firmware

I have tried the settings from here

    http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=1129

and the slightly altered settings from

    http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=1129&page=9

Both settings will get errors during test #5 of memtest

I then tried all settings as listed in the first post with row cycle time at 24t and upping the CPU NB V in .25 increments up to .75 and doing the same thing at 42t up to .75 and no matter what I do it fails during test 5.

    Tried the settings here

    http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=4296

and my motherboard does not like that at all.

I have tried the recommended settings with the ram in both sets of slots (chan0 and 1)

I cannot get this thing to run at 1066 no matter what I do.

    Assistance is needed please.

Try testing one module at a time to insure neither are defective.

I already ran both sticks at the default settings for 1 pass, they both came back ok. They come back fine in pairs with the default settings though, so I am no sure if thats a good test.

OK, I tested both sticks individually using the recommended settings. Both were fine after 2 passes.

I then again tried the sticks together and got failures at test 5.

I also tried the sticks together using the recommended settings, but having them in different channels on the motherboard (ie not paired) and immediately get errors right from the start.

        Now what?

Can you post pictures of your BIOS?

          Thank you

Sure, from a cell, but it should do the trick.

              Row Cycle Time - 33T or 42T
CPU NB VID Control - 1.200V

Once that is complete, everything should run just fine.

              Thank you

Already tried 42T, thats listed in the original post.

I tried 33T, and am still getting errors.

Just to be sure, all other settings (exept changing row to 33 or 42) should be as I already have them. If thats correct, its still not working.

Thanks for the quick responses BTW.

Go ahead and send them in for new replacements. Seems like there may be a slightly bad module causing the problems.

Can you tell me what the turn around time is for that?

GSkill is normally off on weekends, but generally believe they turn them over and you'll have them back in less than a week after they receive them.

Load BIOS defaults, set memory frequency to DDR2-800. 4-4-4-12 timings, and 2.0V. Let me know how that goes.

                        Thank you

Those settings look pretty much identical to the ones in this thread

                          http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=4296

I tried these settings (noted in the original post) and could not even boot to bios, had to clear cmos, so those dont work at all for me.

Unless you completely set something wrong, you will definitely need to send the memory in for new replacements as it should have no problems with those settings.

I dont think I am doing anything wrong, ive gone through the settings pretty carefully.

I need to find some ram to put in my system while I send this set back. I will get the RMA process started as soon as I do that.

                              Thanks
