I purchased new RAM to upgrade my G53SW. The RAM was 4 x 4GB G.Skill PC3-10600, 1.5V, 9-9-9-24 timings (part number F3-10600CL9S-4GBSQ). I replaced all of the stock memory, filling all 4 slots with matching modules. Upon reboot, windows started but shortly thereafter got a blue screen error. I rebooted and ran MemTest86+, and it found errors across all four modules, which was highly unlikely. I swapped the modules, one by one, into a DIFFERENT notebook (a Dell Precision M6400), and tested them with MemTest. Each individual module tested without error.
Has G.Skill seen any other reports of incompatibility with the Asus G53 series notebooks? Is there a compatible module you could recommend in place of what I bought and, if so, can I RMA to swap mine for the other modules?
