ga-870a-ud3 memory question

I am running a 870a-ud3 motherboard and I have F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL memory. Can I install 8 more gigs using the F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL with out a problem. I know the x series is designed for the Sandy Bridge... but did not know if it will run okay...

The main issue is whether the two kits can work together. That is something you will need to test to find out since we have not tested those two specific kits.

The X series I can get really cheap but I don't want to waste money on it if it is not going to run.
I'll just wait and buy the same kind to make sure I don' t have issues.

There remains the same possibility, even two seets of the same model might not play well together, which is why the sets are sold in a variety of sizes (# of sticks and total GB). Generally, 2 of the same model can work together but sometimes takes some tweaking
