    Hello,

I have some problems with my memory.

    Win 7 ultimate 64bit, UEFI P2.80

CPU at stock speed, no OC, all settings AUTO

    1. RAM settings AUTO

my system boots up RAM @ 1333 your website tells me SPD timing 1600 @ 1.5V
I wanted RAM stable at 1600 without the need of touching UEFI

    2. RAM setting XMP Profile 1, all other DRAM settings AUTO
Dr. Debug Code 20 or 23, self-reset by mainboard, boots with promt "system failed to boot...", after waiting 10 seconds windows is started. no further testing

    3. RAM setting XMP Profile 2, all other DRAM settings AUTO
no Dr. Dedug Code at 1st startup, starts windows, 1st run Memtest 4.0 (free version) 1 task 2047Mb :Freeze and artifacts after ~13%
2nd run memtest ok, while rebooting sometimes dr. debug code 20 or 23 -> system failed... -> 10sec -> windows

    4. same as 3. but with CPU OC set to AUTO
    same problems

is that what you call "...trouble free experience allowing them to enjoy the extreme performance and stability" ?

    kind regards
    Erisch

The info on the SPD is correct and works with mobos that default to 1600 - your mobo has a default of 1333, so when sticks are installed they are set to the mobo default of 1333. The SPD is basically just providing information, it's up to the UEFI on the mobo to take that info and implement it.

Also as the mobo advertises DRAM speeds of 1866 and higher require an OC of the CPU, so at stock, you're prob not going to be able to run at 2400.

If this is a straight 3570 you'll at least need turbo boost on, and even then 2133 may be about it for your CPU, most 3570Ks will run 2400 sticks, but not all of them, I generally suggest starting at 4.0 GHz for 2400.

      i5-3570 can not support DDR3-2400.

You need i7-3770K for trouble free experience allowing you to enjoy the extreme performance and stability.

      Thank you

        OK, trouble free is over.....

i'd like to say you're kidding, but i fear you are not.

"G.Skill RipjawsZ dual channel memory kit is designed for the cutting-edge 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors and Z77 Plattform"...

processorS is plural, where is the hint on the packaging that i have to have the one and only i7 3770K?

Basically i am sure my 3570 (nonk) can drive the 2400. There are only problems at bootup with those dr. debug codes.
I ran passmarks memory test several times at 1333 and 2400 with XMP Profile 2.

Damn i saved the results as png, and i am not allowed to upload such large images.

        Speed 1333 2400
        Memory Mark 2166 2696
        Database Operations 82.7 99.3
        Read Cached 26986 26969
        Read Uncached 13333 15533
        Write 7319 10987
        Availible RAM 6375 6470
        Latency 27.8 20.7
        Threaded 18113 30914

OCing the CPU brings even better results but changes nothing regading the uefi codes at startup.

do you have a complete list including all timings and voltages of the XMP-Profiles ?
Maybe the mobo wants to set them too fast in Auto-Mode

Just for info purposes, (I'm not GSkill), but the 3570K and 3770K models are the only ones I've used that can OC well enough to carry 2400. Could try 2400 and loosen timings, though I'd suggest 2133 at stock, then try and tighten them down

Note: Recommended Intel Core i7-3770K processors &

Core i5-3570K processors for best performance

All the timings will be there when you enable XMP. You can take a look to see what they are set to, or manually set them if they are not.

If you believe there is a problem with XMP, try manual settings to see how that works.

People have issues with i5-3570K to reach DDR3-2400, so I hope you have better luck.

            Thank you
