I am kinda new to OCing, done a lil tinkering, mainly just use AI Suite II's TurboV EVO to change cpu settings and monitor temps and voltages. My question has to do with my memory settings tho. I'm using Windows 8 pro, I've only recently built this system (2-7-13) so still figuring out its capabilities, but the problem is if I try to oc the cpu past 4.4 with mem timings set with DOCP @ 2133, everything left on auto, I'll get a memdump error and auto restart thro win8 (it doesn't blue screen, must be a new feature, the auto restart I mean), but im rambling lol. if anybody could help me with optimal timings and/or other settings i'd be very greatfull.
I don't know what other info you might need but I've included the following.

    MY SETUP:

    ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 BIOS 1503 01/11/2013
    AMD 8350 Vishera @ 4014.2Mhz, core voltage 1.332v-200.7 Mhz X 20.0
    GSKILL 2133 F3-17000CL11-4GBZL @1.6v 11-11-11-30, DOCP auto set 2133
    Windows 8 Pro-build 9200
    Corsair H60 (CWCH60) push
HIS Radeon 6790 1GB GDDR5 OC'd clock settings: GPU 845Mhz, mem 1125Mhz via AMD Overdrive
    ANTEC (VP450) 450 watt PS
Hitachi HDD 160GB (need to upgrade BAD lmao)

also the memdumps occur randomly, its not all the time.

First thoughts would be A) check the PSU, the 6790 calls for a MINIMUM of a 500 WATT PSU w/ 2 75W PCI-E connectors so that might be the problem, especially when OCed....B would be a possibility of the DRAM, what you show looks like a single stick part #, is this 1 or 2 sticks (2 would be 8GB total) - and regardless, 2133 may be pushing thing, the CPU is rated up to 1866 with 2 DIMMS total, so would need additional DRAM and CPU/NB voltage to run at 2133 smoothly

        the mem kit is actually 4 X 4gb sticks. also im using a 6790 not 4790 lol. ive tried mem @ 1.65v and cpu_nb @ 1.17500v.

I think the problem only happens @ load because the pc stayed on all night ( from 4-5 ET PM yesterday till now) would that make a difference?

I've had the same psu and video card running together for the last 2 years, I just recently upgraded the MB, CPU, MEMORY, and added the H60 cooling, along with switching to Win8 pro x64. I was on vista x86 previously and the card worked great. do you think with the new board, cpu, etc. would effect the power to the card now?

P.S. the old mb cpu etc. was oem HP pavilion mb w/ Sempron 2.0 dual, and 3gb's of ddr2.

I see where you think its 1 stick lol

          I put F3-17000CL11-4GBZL

          its actually F3-17000CL11Q-4GBZL

All right, think for the DRAM anyway would kick CPU/NB up to 1.23 or so and yeah that model through me - what you showed was for a single 4 GB stick - the 16GB set is actually F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL
