  • F3-1600C9D-8GAB (2X4GB) ARES series with Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 (BIOS F6D)

    I have a motherboard Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 (BIOS F6D) with Intel Q9450 2.66GHz processor and Win 7 64bit.

To want upgrade the amount of memory in my pc and for that I purchased the memories F3-1600C9D-8GAB (2X4GB) ARES series.

My problem is that the motherboard recognize the memories as if they are 10GB while Windows shows 8GB with 1GB usable.

I would like to know if the memories I purchased fit to this motherboard? And if they aren't, to what G.Skill memories I need to replace the memories I already bought?

Do you think that the problem is the motherboard?

    Thanks for your reply.

As long as 8GB is useable then it should be fine.

      Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately it's not working with this M.B.
I put it in another M.B from different model in everything was good.
I'll see what Gigabyte will say.

X48 chip set can not support 4GB modules, you need 2GB x 4.
