    Hi,
Phoenix/Phoenix Pro/EVO are using same firmware 4.2(latest one)

you need to using the update tool and following as this thread to see if you need to using firmware A or B : http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=8248

followed all the steps, but the firmware still says 4.0 instead 4.2

according to the thread, my ssd begins with GS so i've donloaded the 4.2A version.
opened the SSD Updater with Admin Privileges (Run as Admin), my SSD was detected, then selected the Firmware 4.2A.pkg file and click "Download FIrmware to Selected Device".

Wait for some time, PC reboots and open the ssdupdated to check if the firmware is 4.2 and "voil?" firmware version is still 4.0.

      What's wrong?

      Regards

make sure you are using latest version of bios and also enable the AHCI, not IDE mode.
