Could this work?
1st turn off raid in bios and set esata as first HD boot
2nd install Windows 7 on an esata external drive
3rd make sure my drive setting is AHCI in bios.
4th boot from esata then in windows flash both SSD drives to new firmware.
5th then remove esata drive and put settings back to my raid.
Flashing in Windows is the only way to not lose my Raid array and OS right?
