  • Windows 7 SP1 MS AHCI drivers - Firmware update tool not detect drives

I have a Phoenix Pro 120gb. Now i want to upgrade to 4.2 firmware. I run the original Firmware update tool, but it cannot detect my drive
I use Windows 7 SP1 32 bit, Microsoft AHCI driver, and set HDD mode in BIOS to AHCI
I'm using the Dell Latitude E6410 with intel core i5
    What can I do now?

I wonder whether this is what has rendered my SSD useless?

Can someone from gskill please confirm what drivers we should be using with Win 7 64 bit.

    Thanks

      hi,
did you installed Linux in your laptop? also the reason might be the Dell's back up partition,
you might need to clean all of the partition and then install 4.2 firmware. or you can follow the link as well.
