  • Bought used Phoenix 120gb - steps to take to use?

    Hello all,

I just purchased a used Phoenix 120GB off a friend. Going through the forum here, I was wondering what steps I need to take first to wipe everything and update the firmware.

Is there an install guide that explains how to change my BIOS and soforth? AHCI and all that.

Should I use Parted Magic first? Update firmware first?

Thanks in advance for any help. I cant wait to use this bad boy!

      cant update

my bios doesnt support AHCI (asus M4N68T-M V2) so ssdupdate.exe always says: no drives found!

Is there another way to update the drive? Through dos or anything?

You need use other PC to update firmware, and the motherboard can't use Nvidia chipset.
