    Hi BaseBill

your replacement should be not froze.
    please check its firmware first.
this SSD can run RAID mode properly, don't worry about that.
    It won't affect you overclocking.

SSD Installation, RAID 0, and Overclocking Advice

I purchased 2 G.SKILL Phoenix Pro 120 GB SSDs. Unfortunately, they both froze and I have the replacement units. I would appreciate learning how I can avoid their freezing in W7 Ultimate 64-bit.

My system hardware: See signature below.

    System Software:

    1. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
    2. Adobe CS4 for video editing

These are my plans to increase stability and be happy with the SSDs:

    1. Upgrade my ICH10R from driver version to 9.6 to 10.0.0.1046 as indicated in the "Sleep never wake" thread.

    2. I would like to use my 2 SSDs in a RAID 0 array in my ICH10R controller. Any recommendations for using the SSDs in a RAID 0 array for the OS?

    3. Check the firmware and upgrade to version 3.1 if it is not 3.1 in the "firmware 3.1 released?.

    4. With firmware v3.1, what adjustments, if any, are needed to the "Performance Optimization for Phoenix Series" recommendations?

    5. I would like to overclock my system but avoid issues. What issues are known about overclocking with SSDs? Can I overclock while still maintaining a rock solid system?

I am happy to provide further details.

    Thanks!
    Bill
