  • is G.SKill ever going to come out with Dummy sticks?

    Hi,

building a new computer in the next coming week and went with the 32GB 2x16 sticks of Trident Neo RGB for the AM5 7800X3d platform and since its not really recommended to go with 4 sticks is there any plans for say RGB dummy sticks just to fill out 2 other slots to make it look esthetically better? otherwise i guess it just to wait out till some bios update comes around i guess that fixes the stability with having 4 sticks and get another 2x16 kit

To my knowledge dummys probably won't happen:

If you really can't stand that only two of four slots are populated, from Computex coverage it also looks like there might be some new 2-dimm motherboards coming out for AM5 soon. Combined with higher density modules and kits arriving later this year, you wouldn't have to worry about future BIOS updates and/or inter-kit-compatibility.

I understand that desire to fill the other two slots, however; I'd prefer the extra air between modules for better heat dissipation / cooling.

You can check out RAM from other AMD partners here or motherboard manufacturer-certified memory (such as ASUS' ROG or TUF Gaming Alliance)
        - I know at least one of those memory makers had RGB dummies from when I did my initial research for my build
