UAC bug in new version Lighting Control

I just downloaded and installed the new version of Trident Z Lighting Control (v1.00.17). However, every time I log into Windows now, it asks me for my admin password, whereas the old version (v1.00.08) didn't need that. If I don't give my admin password, the utility doesn't start, and my LED preferences aren't applied.

Please fix this bug; it is very annoying.

One of the team members has already stated, that it is fixed in the next update coming later this week:

We're working on a version that doesn't require the admin rights. Once it passes internal testing, it should be ready for release some time later this week. So you can wait for this update as well.
