rgb not lighting up

I have new ram (G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series)installed on a 590Z series mb, the rgb on one stick is not lighting up. The ram kit came without being sealed up in plastic, so I have no idea if I bought new ram or returned ram from the store…I tried different sockets but that same stick would not light up even tried fully powering down and turning it on and off with the rgb software many times. Is there a trick or common issue to fix this or is the rgb broken for good?

Out of curiosity…does this expensive ram come properly sealed somehow from manufacturer?

Sounds like there is an issue with the RGB on that module so you will need to get them replaced.

Unfortunately there is no official seal at this time, but the place of purchase is responsible for sending you a good product so that should be able to take care of that right away.
