  • Suggest me a RAM

    Hello,
I found some RAM's in Gskill website Ram configurator - (options picked in that page - MSI - AMD B350 - B350 TOMAHAWK).
From this pick i found these RAM's are supported for Msi B350 tomahawk motherboard.
    for e.g. F4-3200C16D-16GTZR , F4-2933C16D-16GFX , F4-2933C14D-16GFX , F4-3200C16D-16GTZRX , F4-3200C14D-16GTZRX , F4-2933C16D-16GTZRX , F4-2933C14D-16GTZRX

But these RAM's are not showing in the MSI Memory compatibility support page - (options picked in that page - Memory by RX -1X00).

    In particular :
Will this RAM work with MSI B350 Tomahawk Motherboard, Ryzen 7 1700 (atleast 2933Mhz with latency of 16-18-18-38)

    https://mdcomputers.in/g-skill-tride...6d-16gtzr.html

    My 2017 rig : https://pcpartpicker.com/user/23rdpu...d/#view=kLPhMp
    Ryzen7 1700
    Msi B350 Tomahawk
Msi RX 480 Armor 8GB OC
    Gskill TridentZ 3200mhz 16gb(8*2)

Actually My old RAM(F4-3200C16D-16GTZB) - Gskill TridentZ 3200mhz 16gb(8*2) works in 2933mhz with XMP1 perfectly and I think XMP profile is not supportable by this mobo where it crashes , now 1 RAM is not working .

So looking to add more RAM.

which option is better to buy ? -
buying single 1 * 8gb as equivalent to my old RAM. I would like to achieve 2933mhz as old RAM) -(Is this possible).
    (or)
1 * 16gb - whole new (lets keep the old RAM as backup)
In my region, my old RAM is not available. I am from India. Kindly give me some available best RAM.

No problem, G.Skill list is all you need, memory kits do not need to match on both QVLs. Many memory kits will not be listed on motherboard manufacturer lists since they will not have every memory kit on the market especially those that are produced later than motherboard production date.

For guaranteed top results, it is best to use one whole new kit with two modules for dual channel.
