That's pretty much it, experimentation, might be able to drop the CL to 9 at 2200, at stock DRAM Voltage or slightly higher

Thanks for the info, I had a 3770K but sold it to my friend and bought the 2700K. Ivy Bridge overheats, was running 5-10c more than my 2700k with the same Antec Kuhler 920. The mobo auto tuned my to 5047 MHz today and the ram is in the spec I shared. I can live with this ram since it seems to run good and will have headroom for over clocking

I've never messed with ram timings before so could u shed any light on what I should try? Should I just run the ram at 2200 with the stock timings and lower each individually until it becomes unstable? Also, I heard I should do the max frequency oc, then timings, then command rate. Does this sound like a good plan?

You can't achieve DDR3-2400 with that CPU, you need Ivy Bridge (i7-3770K)

DDR3-2200 is possible, you have to raise BCLK host clock (seems like you are already doing it). You have the 2700K, so it should be capable of DDR3-2200+

BCLK 103-104 will put you in DDR3-2197 to 2218 range, you can even go higher and see what your CPU can do.

I picked up this kit of F3-2400C10D-8GZH from newegg for my new build. I'm trying to use it with a ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe which supports 2400 MHz (O.C.) and an Intel Core i7 2700K. I've tried just about everything I can think of and it still won't run at the Speed & Timings this ram is supposed to. I set everything in BIOS manually (Ram Speed/Timings/Voltage) and haven't had any luck. I also tried both XMP profiles and the darn thing just won't boot It will run at 2133 stock & 2194 when over clocking the CPU. Anyone have any ideas? If I can't run it at 2400 are there some lower timings I can use to run it at 2200?
