  • Moving up 1600 to 2133

I currently am working on the following system
    MB: asusP7P55D-E Premium
    CPU: core i7 2.8 running at 4.08
    MEM: F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL X2
    running at 194 FSB
    CPU 1.9v
    MEM 1.65v
    Memory @ 1533 Timing 9-9-9-24
    Mode 1N all others auto

I would like to put F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL X2 on the board if I can run it at the 2133 native speed and 11-11-11-30 native timing

    1. do you think this will provide a noticable boost in speed for processes like video encoding?
    2. Do you think this motherboard can handle the higher ram speed
    3. Will it affect the overclocking capability of this combination
Thanks for you thoughts on these questions.

If looking for 4 sticks of 2133 would suggest a 4 stick set so they are tested together, opposed to 2 - 2 stick sets, especially at frequencies 1866 and up (no guarantee 2 sets will work together). You may 'see' an increase in processing speed, more notable in time it takes or in benchmark speeds than wht you physically 'See'. The mobo can handle the speed. Will prob need a slightly higher OC to run full 2133 speed of the sticks.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
