  • Crosshair IV Formula + F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL

I just built a system with the Phenom II x6 1100T, a crosshair iv formula, and 16gb of Ripjaws DDR3 1600, and I can't get it to run faster than 800 MHz. I am new to overclocking, and I've played around in the BIOS and played with the voltage settings (within safe values), and I don't know what to do to get them to boot and remain at 1600 MHz. I have since reset all of the values to default.

    What's your advice?

If showing 800, you are running 1600 as it is DDR (double date rate)...If in doubt use CPU-Z to check, under the memory tab it should show frequency as 800 and your base DRAM timings and CR

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

CPU-Z is showing NB frequency is 2095, DRAM frequency is 620, FSBRAM is 3:8, and the timings are 9, 9, 9, 24, 25, and 1T

Your tRC (Bank Cycle Time) setting of 25 is too low, either set it to Auto or around 38.
Also, change your Command Rate from 1T to 2T.
Manually enter the DRAM (memory) voltage to the next setting above 1.50v.
Set the CPU/NB voltage to 1.25v and the same for the HT Link voltage.
If crashing still occurs after these settings, you may need to bump up the NB voltage as well.

There is a guide to set up your BIOS.

          "AMD CPU + G.Skill 1600"

          Thank you
