    I see on your website that this board supports a 4x4GB set @DDR3 1600.

    But, your 4x4GB set that runs @DDR3 2133 is not supported, according to the website. Is this true and why?

    Seperately, I do have a simple suggestion for your website, ta mkae finding suitable sets for a persons MB; why don't you have a page for each MB and then list what sets are supported for each?

    Very very high possibility that the units haven't been fully tested and cleared for XMP@2133. I bought 2 2x2GB kits of DDR3-2133 Ripjaws X modules and tried running them at XMP and failed miserably. Chances are you're going to have to increase the CPU-mem controller voltage (I just got the Max 4 extreme and I don't even know what the setting is in BIOS!!!) However man, get a 2500K or 2600K, OC to 4.2 Ghz and run the RAM at 1600 Mhz and you'll be laughing! This is going from a phenom2 x6 1055T proc OC'd to 3.8Ghz. GSKILL TECH (admin) is very knowledgeable and wait for his reply as I was about to make a post like this too for assistance from him.

      DDR3-2133 should be no problem. Onslaught2k3 may have gotten a bad kit. With ASUS P67 motherboards, all RipJaws X should be XMP capable, even the DDR3-2200.

      We are working on a completely new website, so that should be much more user friendly.

        Perhaps so, but before I do any sort of RMAs with g.skill I want to ensure I've done everything on my part first. GSKILL TECH, do you happen to know the specific setting in the UEFI BIOS for the M4E that would increase the CPU-memory controller voltage? Or, is there no such setting and XMP is the only option at my disposal?

          Faulty kit my behind! Everything's working fine 10-11-10-30-2T XMP@2133. Despite the timings being a little higher than spec, it's still better bandwith-wise than 1600@9-9-9-27-2t. However, I had to increase voltage to the RAM to 1.65V instead of 1.6V. I'm going to prime with heavy memory usage to see if the kit is really faulty. Proc also OC'd to 4.4Ghz 1.3V. Wish me luck!.

          BTW these are the model #s of the kits: F3-17000C9D-4GBXL x2.

              ey, I think the kits perform quite well. At the price point I bought them for I'm glad they work well at DDR3-1600. However, do you know the highest tolerated temperature on these kits as I think that bringing the voltage up to 1.68-1.7V should get this kit working within spec.

              UPDATE: have up'd the voltage on the modules to 1.7V instead of 1.6V spec and are running at spec timings of 9-11-9-28-2T. Will try 1T later on but for now prime95 is running rock solid as I'm typing this post. GSKILL TECH, I find it hard to believe people can actually get these kits running <1.65V at spec. Obviously g.skill tests these modules and ships them out.. but still hard to believe. I'm very happy with these modules and wouldn't ship them back until they truly stop working altogether.

              UPDATE #2: Unfortunately, the CPU limits the OC of RAM when beyond stock clocks due to insufficient cooling. Can get XMP no issues when the CPU is at 3.4 Ghz (i7 2600k). None of the units are faulty! Well, g.skill sold me perfectly-working sets yet again. When I get chilled water, I'll report my XMP success (or failures) then. Thank you for the help.

                  1.70V will be fine. Max temp is around 80C, but I'm sure it won't get there.

                  2T it should have no problem <1.65V. You have lifetime warranty anyway, so you're right, no need to return them until really defective.

                  Definitely with a CPU OC, you will need an aftermarket CPU. Keep us posted on the results.

                    I'm using a cooler master V8 cpu heatsink modded with an enermax apollish fan (much higher CFM, not much louder than the stock fan with the awful hard-wired controller). The CPU drops to about 37C on idle OC'd to 4.5 Ghz 1.35V but am limited to DDR3-1600 (native) ram speeds. I think the issues with not hitting DDR3-2133 is all related to the heat of the CPU. The Intel forums are stating that the current sandy bridge CPUs can not handle anything higher than 1.5V memory controller voltage (ram voltage). I'm most likely going to try keeping it at 1.5V and lower CPU voltage a bit. So I'm most likely going to need water cooling if I am going to get this thing to work remotely close to DDR3-2133 and 4ghz+ CPU speeds.

                    UPDATE 1 - By lowering CPU voltage to 1.3V and memory voltage to 1.5V, XMP-2133 works just fine (for now). I'll have to run a 8-12 hour prime95 run to confirm CPU stability and memtest86+ run for same time period to confirm true stability. Voltages have such a big difference on these components.

                    UPDATE 2 - nuhh-uh. No way, Bob! Didn't work. Tried raising voltages a little bit by little but despite efforts couldn't get XMP timings and voltages, even at spec 1.6V and CPU voltage at 1.325-1.35 (range acceptable for 4.5ghz OC)

                        I tried using the ram at 10-10-10-30-2T timings, 1.6V, but wouldn't run stable without errors in memtest86+. I'll try 10-11-10-2T tomorrow see how things go then.

                          This kit unfortunately can not handle XMP DDR3-2133 when this processor is OC'd beyond 3.8 Ghz. I'm not too happy about having to drop the clocks on this processor below 4.4 ghz in order to bring the RAM up to DDR3-2133. Right now, I've got this ram DDR3-1600 8-9-8-27-1T, which is quite good given the clock speed of the 2600k is OC'd to 4.5 Ghz. As previously posted, within 4-6 months I will have a full watercooling loop on this setup (possibly with a radeon 7000-series graphics card should they be out at the time. I will also be looking to have a 240W peltier chip on the CPU. Once temps idle are below ambient, I'm more than certain this chip can handle a 5+ Ghz OC and DDR3-2133 at spec timings. I also do plan on using a 80W peltier chip on the RAM (with the water blocks too) to see how low the timings can go. BTW, I also must add I tried increasing the VCCIO voltage to 1.18V from stock to no avail as well. I don't want to go too high on either the DRAM voltage or the VCCIO voltage. I went as high as 1.7V on the DRAM but the voltages weren't making things any more stable for me. Regretful to say, but I gotta stop the OCing for now until I get chilled water as the cooling solution. Thanks to gskill-tech for the assistance. I won't RMA this kit because it does work fine at DDR3-2133 9-11-9-28-2T but it's not worth trading off the awesome OC I have going right now.

                            The 4x4GB set I purchased (DDR3 @2133mHZ) work perfectly on the MIVE at the specs listed for the set. And they work @2133 mHZ when I have my core i7 running at anywhere between 3.4 gHZ and 5.2gHZ (haven't tried anything higher)
