Just wanted to follow up

I received a new set of RAM from gskill which has worked flawlessly. Just to be certain, I also updated my mobo and am now running a more up to date Gigabyte 880G set.

Santa gave me a 20" monitor as well so my computer saw a lot of changes.

The machine now works great, have not had a single freeze and the games that I like to play (Starcraft II and GTA IV) both run with settings maxed out.

I was a little dissappointed with all the trouble I had in December, but all is good now.

Has ASUS done anything (updated BIOS...any help?)

no they have not. there are boards full of people complaining about similar problems with the asus mobo.

I bought a ga-880gma-ud2h from Gigabyte which has been very easy to work with and stable

I'll give the asus to my wife when I'll upgrade her next year.
