Well for DDR3-2000+, you may need to adjust QPI/VTT Voltage.

    Thank you

Check and ensure that you're running the latest BIOS for your motherboard. If not, update the BIOS.

Clear CMOS, boot and load BIOS defaults

Load XMP Profile (Profile 1) save settings exit and reboot.

Enter BIOS again and ensure that your memory speed and timings are being correctly reported. If so exit and attempt to boot into windows.

    F3-17600cl7d-4gbpis + ga-x58a-ud3r

    Hello,

Here is the configuration of my new computer:
+ Model of the motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (Intel X58 Express)
    + Model of the memory: G.Skill PI Series 4 Go (kit 2x 2 Go) DDR3-SDRAM PC3-17600 = F3-17600CL7D-4GBPIS
    + Model of the CPU: Intel Core i7 950 - Quad Core Socket 1366 QPI 4.8 GT/s Cache L3 8 Mo 0.045 ?m 64bits
+ OS: MICROSOFT Windows 7 Home Premium N, installed in 32 Bit
+ Harddrive: WESTERN DIGITAL Caviar Black WD1002FAEX, 1.0TB, SATA III
+ Power supply: Thermaltake Toughpower XT Cable Management 775W

The problem is that the computer would either:
    - crash at system boot or while in use (Windows 7), with a blue screen
    - freeze at boot
    - freeze in use (Windows 7), with only the mouse moving but not responding at click, and all applications windows frozen and CTRL+ALT+DEL not responding

I would like to understand if this is due to bad RAM configuration in the BIOS or if it is a faulty RAM stick (in which case I will return asap, but still will need guidance on RAM tuning in the BIOS for the next couple of RAM!).
All I want to have is a stable computer!

Can anyone please advise the settings I should use in the BIOS for processor and RAM parameter (and how)?
Sorry, I'm new in these kind of tweaking, so please be detailled.

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Guy.
