  • 8 GB on Asus P5E3 Pro

    Hello,

Thanks a lot for your hospitality !
I read the forum for a few hours and I'm impressed by the technical answers i found here.

Sorry in advance for the quality of my English, I am a French frog ^^

So i'm here because i want to refresh my config with a new motherboard (x48) and a new ram (8 go 1600 mhz) and i need to know which module i have to choose among them:

    F3-12800CL8D-4GBTD 2 x 2 Go PC12800 Trident Series x2
    8-8-8-24
    1,65 V
(seems to have been designed for the x48 chipset)

    F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM 2 x 2 Go PC12800 Ripjaws CAS 7 x2
    7-8-7-24
    1,60 V
(seems to have been designed for the P55 chipset)

    F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO 2 x 2 Go PC12800 CAS7 ECO x2
    7-8-7-24
    1,35 V

    F3-12800CL7Q-8GBRM 4 x 2 Go PC12800 Ripjaws CAS 7
    7-8-7-24
    1,60 V

    F3-12800CL7Q-8GBECO 4 x 2 Go PC12800 CAS7 ECO
    7-8-7-24
    1,35 V

The motherboard I will buy is a ASUS P5E3 Pro
Chipset: X48 Intel? X48 / ICH9R (Intel? Extreme Memory Profiles)
    Front Side Bus: 1600/1333/1066/800 MHz
    Memory: 4 x DIMM, 8 Go
    DDR3 1600/1333/1066/800 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Dual Channel memory architecture

Here is the rest of my config:

    CPU: Q9550 2.86Ghz
    HDD: Raid 0 2x 160 Go 8mo 7200 tr/min.
GPU: Crossfire HD4850 Gainward Golden Sample.
    PSU: Seasonic 600W Modulaire
    Case: Corsair 800D
    OS: Seven x64

Which one would be the more safety for a 8 GB system ?
which kit would be as close as possible to 1600 Mhz with 8 GB ?

    ECO ? Ripjaws ? Tridents ?

I guess my CPU can go to 1600 mhz FSB easily.

    Thank you for the help

The Trident will be best. The ECO will not work because it is 1.35V, your motherboard is minimum 1.50V.

    Thank you
