  • Help with F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH on GA-X58A-UDR3

    Hello,

New build, not looking to OC i7 930. Looking for BIOS settings to run RAM safely at 2000 Mhz. MOBO v 1.0 BIOS rev F5.

    Regards,

Thanks, Big Elf. I found this thread early on and starting with optimized defaults and applying the suggested settings for 2000mhz I get a BSOD after 30 seconds of stress testing. At 1600mhz the system is stable.

What QPI/VTT Voltage did you use?

        This thread may help:

          I tried both 1.595 & 1.615, which were the 2 closest choices to 1.6

That was unstable? You may want to try lower, some i7 930's will only need 1.40V-1.50V, so you may be over-volting too much. This is why we ask people to overclock from DDR3-1600, that way you know exactly what voltages are required.
