I am starting a new thread since my last one isn't getting any more replies.
CPU=Phenom II X4 945 95W
RAM=2 sticks of above mentioned ram, total 4 GB (on the box states 1.65V 1600 7-7-7-24)
I am trying to run this ram at 1333 instead of 1600. (I was able to boot with 1600 speed by increasing the FSB to 240, but I would rather keep it at stock.)
I have set the RAM voltage to 1.6V (or 1.65 as stated on the box) in the bios, frequency to 1333, CPU/NB and HTT to 2000, and FSB to 200 (which I believe are stock settings). I have also tried leaving all settings on AUTO.
In the DRAM controller settings, I have tried disabling bank interleaving (which is now on auto), and have tried every setting of channel interleaving (now disabled).
I have tried ganged and unganged (now on unganged).
I have tried any timings between 9-9-9-24 and 6-6-6-24.
However, any settings that I have tried still fail Vista's memory diagnostic tool. (This also includes the overclock with an FSB of 240 running the RAM at 1600.)
Please, what am I doing wrong?
