  • Advice needed for memory upgrade on Lenovo M78

I'm planning to upgrade on the cheap a Lenovo M78 small. The processor is an AMD A4-5300B 3.40 GHz. I have 4 dimms F312800CL99D 4GBNQ I removed from a previous build. Can I use them on the Lenovo? I read online that recommended upgrades are DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 UNBUFFERED NON-ECC DDR3-1600 1.35V.

    Thanks for any advice.

According to Lenovo both 1.35V and 1.50V modules can be used, but there is no XMP support. So while the combination was not tested, the M78 should work with F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ at their default speed.

Back in the days I did upgrade a couple of M78/M79 systems with F3-1600C11D-8GNS, F3-1600C11D-8GNT and F3-1600C11D-16GNT. Had no issues with them at all.
