I recently picked a Dell OptiPlex 790 minitower up on refurb and am looking to increase the system memory up to the maximum of 16GB. I have seen some questions raised with the compatibility of modern DDR3 modules with these older systems, so I wanted to ask which kit would be suitable for the upgrade. Two kits recommended by a vendor were Ripjaws series part numbers F3-10666CL9Q-16GBRL and F3-10666CL9Q-16GBXL, but I wanted to check here before purchasing. Thank you.
