F3-1600C7D-16GTX -- Fins touching, or should I remove them?

I have a GA-Z97-HD3 (Rev. 2.1) with two F3-1600C7D-16GTX installed. I would like to increase my RAM to 32 GB using FOUR of the F3-1600C7D-16GTX (or similar). However, if I do that, the cooling fins will be touching each other. Is that OK, or would it be better to removed the fins?

Touching is fine, it is designed to be perfectly touching/connected side by side.
