Ripjaws X Series compatibility with ASUS P7P55D Mobo

I have an ASUS P7P55D motherboard currently running 2 GB of Kingston Ram and Widows 7 that's running very slow.
Your G.SKILL memory has been recommended for that motherboard.
Is the Ripjaw X Series memory compatible with that board running as a matched pair?
I'm thinking 2 x 8GB kit should do the job.

What CPU do you have?

Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS.
