  • P9X79 Deluxe / F3-14900CL10Q-32GBZL Cold Boot issue

    Hi All,
    Hoping ye can help me!

Model of the motherboard: P9X79 Deluxe
    Model of the memory: F3-14900CL10Q-32GBZL
    Model of the CPU: i7-3930K @ 3.2GHz

I'm having a "Cold Boot" issue with a new build, where the machine will not start with all 32gb in place. MEMOK! and CLR_CMOS combination will eventually lead to a boot, then all is good for the day.

Pulling 2 modules, leaving 16gb in place leads to an immediate boot.
I have done a single pass on Memtest86+ on the full 32gb without incident.

I've tried both XMP profiles with no apparent change. the 2 XMP profiles themselves are practically identical:

Shouldn't there be a 1600 profile, or have I misunderstood something?

I have seen similar asus / g.skill cold boot issues on other threads / forums. Some of these were solved through manual adjustments. Does anyone have any suggestion on where to start with these?

    Thank you in advance!

Send them in for RMA to see if a new kit works better.

Just sounds like there may be a problem with the modules since XMP Profile should work flawlessly.
