• G.Skill Trident pc29600 1200mhz + DFI BI T2RS Elite

    Hey guys,

I cant get my Tridents to run at 1200 on my blood iron T2RS Elite board the board says it supports up to 1200 but can figure out whats happening.

The cpu is intel e8400, any setting or ideas would be great. I'm new and tried a search already on this but found nothing, so I hope this is not a repost.

    Cheers and await any replys.

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

    Let's try DDR2-1066 first. Set DRAM Frequency DDR2-1066. DRAM Timings tCL 5 - tRCD 5 - tRP 5 - tRAS 15 - Command Rate 2. DRAM Voltage 1.80V

If you have issues, post pictures of your BIOS and I can see what may be set incorrectly.

    Thank you

      Still Not Working

      Hello,

      Thanks for your fast reply

I have tried what you suggested,

      First I cleared the CMOS
Then I removed 1 stick just to make things simple
      Then I used your settings

[I could not find the Command Rate - 2 setting, Im using Advanced Setup]

and had to change the voltage to DRAM V1.813 as it would not let me pick just V1.80

I could not boot with these and the computer kept giving me the warning Overclock Failure and reset to default.

I have added 4 photos [Sorry if pics aint too good]

      BIOS is V6.00PG

I dont think these Images will work properly

The CMOS was cleared before making these setting, and even after changes were made I could not boot and BIOS returned to DDR800 default

Thanks for any help you can give me,

Do you have the latest BIOS? Try a higher voltage like 1.90V.

              Thank you

I will update my BIOS, but if I try a higher voltage will it void the warranty as there only supposed to run @ 1.8v?

No, it will not. If you attempt 2.10V+ then it may.

I updated my BIOS to the latest version and was able to boot @ 1066, but could not get over that even when I raised DRAM Volt to 1.9

Have you any Ideas/Settings I can try,

                    Thanks

                      Getting There.

                      Hey Guys,

Ok after surfing the net, I found that tweaking my NB Volts would help get my clock rate up to about 1200MHz. It worked but I did this using only 2GB when I added the extra 2GB to make 4GB, I could not boot Windwos 7 64bit and keep getting BsoD.

Ill do more tweaking and post results, hopfully wont take to long now to get it running as it should.

Oh I filled out my sig sorry if it was rude not to do that first.

Raise NB Voltage further, two modules will have more stress on the memory controller so you may need more NB Voltage.

                        Thank you
