  • EVGA 780i SLI & F2-9600CL5D-4GBPI

    Hi,

I would like to get some help getting my ne RAM OCed to the advertised 1200mHz.
The RAM is "F2-9600CL5D-4GBPI" on a "evga 780i sli" motherboard.
The RAM has been loaded into the Black (not Green) SLI RAM slots)
(Newegg rating posts said RAM would only OC in te Block slots)

I've updated my Bios to P10 (01/20/2010), loaded BIOS defaults, powered down and then powered up into BIOS.

    The RAM only auto registers in at 1,066mHz (5, 5, 5, 15, 2.1v)
I can manually OC the RAM in BIOS to 1,200mHZ (timings auto change, 2.1v)
I then save BIOS settings and exit, upon reboot POST completes, RAID setup completes and BIOS hardware data is passed to the OS.

At this point Windows 7 begins to load and then reboots midway. Process then repeats.
The RAM itself seems to be good, not defective to my knowledge

Could anyone please help me, thank you very much!
