    Hey all,
couple of weeks a go i bought new ram (G.SKILL 4096MB GBPK). ever since im having some bad issues with my system. Every now and then im getting a BSOD (in a middle of a game or when im playing a movie). most of the times, after the BSOD the boot times take really long and hangs on the vista logo.. takes up to 160 to enter windows. First thing i did was to memtest my ram, at first it came out clean after 8 hours by last night i tried it again and im getting errors.

Can you please tell me if my bios settings are ok before i'll try each stick separately?

    Thanks

just set DDR2 Overvoltage Control to +0.3v and keep the others auto
        and others setttings are fine

i get errors in memtest with those settings.
If i check each stick separately i get no errors for 8 hours. The problem happens only when they both in.

then this pair may still be defective, 'coz the setting is the same
or you can test them in dual channel with only DDR2 800 to see if memory controller is defective
            thanks

I managed to get my system stable with:

              Standard Timing Control
              CAS Latency Time........................4
              tRCD .........................................4
              tRP'...........................................4
              tRAS..........................................12

              Advanced Timing Control
              tRRD..........................................3
              tWTR..........................................4
              tWR............................................6
              tRFC...........................................56
              tRTP...........................................3
              Static tRead Value_______________ 8
              Static tRead Phase Adjust________ [Auto]

              Motherboard Voltage Control
              Voltage Type.………... Manual
              DDR2 Overvoltage Control....................+0.3
              PCI-E Overvoltage Control....................+0.1
              FSB Overvoltage Control......................+0.1
              (G)MCH Overvoltage Control..................+0.1

and it passed 8 hours of memtest BUT i still get blue screens while gaming (same one mentioned in the first post). I never get bsods if i use 5-5-5-15.
