  • F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ with F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B

model of the motherboard: Asus P5B Deluxe
    model of the memory:F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
    model of the CPU:Intel Q6600

I was wondering if I could run F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ with a set of F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B? I know the voltage of the first is 2.0-2.1 and the second is 1.8-1.9. I wonder if 2.0 would be good for both sets?

1.9-2.0v would be fine to run both sets, but you may need to add FSB voltage to 1.4v
    thanks

      Problem

This combo of ram has been running just fine until I upgraded my motherboard to an Aus Maximus Formula II. The F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B is running in Channel A and the F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ is running in channel B. Both sets running at 2.0 volts as suggested above.
The problem is that when I leave the computer shutdown for more than a couple of hours it will not post. I have to clear the cmos to get it to post. Also, the ram timings were adjusted manually to the specs of 4-4-4-12 as stated on the sticks. If I do a restart the system will boot just fine. I had 2 sets of the F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ and had to RMA them a few times and this is the reason why one of the RMA's I exchanged them for the F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ. Could the difference in chips be a problem? If so, could the F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ and the F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B be RMA'd for 2 sets of F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B so that the chips will be identical?
I have done alot of research on this and it seems that the problem is definately the ram.

Hopefully G.Skill will have an answer to my problem. I have and always will be a G.Skill customer.

1st remove f2-6400phu2-2gbhz and leave f2-6400cl4d-4gbpi-b in there. if no problem, remove it and change back to f2-6400phu2-2gbhz and see any problem

After removing the F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ and leaving the computer off all night long, it rebooted no problem. Does this mean that the memory is bad? If so, can it be RMA'd? Ideally, I would like to RMA ALL of the ram so that all of them can be from the same chipset date and firmware date.
