Unfortunately, I have ended up returning the 8gb ram and have gone back to my previous 4gb.
My system just would not agree with the 8gb for very long, even at 800, 5-5-5-15, 2.01v, tWR=6, tRC=30, tRFC=100, NB=1.4. For example, I was able to do 3 hours of video conversions while doing constant web browsing. But then the next day, I get a hardware malfunction bluescreen 50 minutes into a game. Then I might be able to play 3 hours of a game, then a little later another hardware malfunction bluescreen after just 15 minutes in a game.
So I suspect the problem is just due to using all 4 memory slots, as that seems to be an old issue with the NB of the 780i chipset (or this crap asus motherboard). Since MemTest86+ tested the ram fine, it stands to reason the problem is the chipset.
Oh well, thanks for the input before.
