I have just upgraged my old computer with 2gb memory (Total 4gb). Problem is that my computer freezes randomly. Computer starts fine. Windows starts fine but I get freezes 1-3 times a day. One sure freeze is ten minutes after starting from Hibernate. It could be hardware or driver issue also but I want to be sure that my memory has best possible and stable settings. My reliability history indicates that freezes started after I added extra 2gb memory.
my specs:
Asus A8N SLI premium
F13200USU2-2GBHS 2.5-3-3-6 2.5-2.7V
FI3200PHU2-2GBNS 2.5-3-3-6 2.6-2.75V (new)
AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 4200+ (latest bios)
Windows 7 64bit enterprise
I have tested memory with memtest over five hours and have no problems. I have read here that maybe the DRAM voltage should be higher and DRAM frequency lower? Although it would be nice to use the standard memory specs but stability is top priority.
Here is my timings. I have no idea where I got the trc, trfc etc. but they worked fine when using 2gb.
