Sounds like you hit the wall with the IMC on your processor. If the timings are loose enough I can almost guarantee they "can" do 2600 with enough vccio, but I doubt you'd notice much difference. What timings did you settle on for 2400?

Did you try for 10-11-11-28 @ 2400, or if your sticks are single sided 10-10-11-28 @ 2400?
A command rate of 1T was not stable?Team HardwareLUXX | Show off your G.SKILL products!

I will give it tomorrow another shot and will report back.

The CPU and GPU's are OC'ed like before, but I use now the GeForce v331.65 WHQL-Driver's and changed my RAM-Timings from 10-12-12-31-2T to 10-11-11-28-2T (DRAM-Voltage:
1.69000 V | VCCSA-Voltage: 1.27500 V):

1T seems to be a no go, as I'm only able to reach the Desktop, but then I get like a half-crash, where I can still use the Mouse-Pointer, but Windows doesn't load all Start-up-Apps and is not usuable, as you can't open a Start-Menu etc.
I had to increase the voltages to prevent BSOD's etc. I will try again 10-10-11-28-2T @2400MHz, which didn't work with only DRAM-Voltage: 1.67500 V | VCCSA-Voltage: 1.27500 V.
Edit:
10-10-11-28-2T @2400Mhz seems to be not possible.

Performance is looking good, but if you already need more than 1.65V for that, then i would keep the timings at XMP values.Team HardwareLUXX | Show off your G.SKILL products!

With 1.65V I get this half-crashes and some BSOD's unfortunately, but it seems to be 100% stable with the increased voltages, but I don't know if it's really healthy for the kit in the long run.
