  • F4-3600C18Q2-256GTZN runs hot 64 degrees !

i own this kit and i'am afraid of its temp..
which reaches 64 degrees and today its not a hot summer day.

Most of the sticks stay at 60-61 degrees but one stick reaches 64 degress during testing with Karhu RAM Test or GSAT.

What are the normal max temps for these Hynix memory chips?

This was not the idea to buy as 256gb kit (non-ecc) which runs hot and this can cause system freezes.

    Thanks for helping here!

    Edit: 66,5 degrees

That is no problem, it can be hot during tests but should not remain that way during normal operation.

Outside of synthetic tests DIMM temperature shouldn't really be an issue at XMP settings.

However since for most electronic devices and ICs durability is tied to temperature, if possible I would try to add some airflow for the DIMMs (like from the above/top of the case). If the distance from the modules to the fan is small, it does not even require a lot of CFM to already have a noticeable effect.
